ASTM is I-Scanís system for Stress, Temperature and Thickness measurement used to verify the Ribbon annealing process and eliminate cutting-line breakage.
It consists of a bridge placed across the Ribbon that periodically moves Stress, Thickness and Temperature sensors over the Ribbon to measure on-line these parameters and allow the Cutting Operator to check that they are within the acceptable standards.
ASTM uses the most modern technology, relying on spectrometers working on 256 wave length for stress measurement and lasers for Thickness measurement. Both measurements are done on dual channels to reduce the influence of perturbing factors.
The User Interface is simple and straightforward and provides temporary and permanent stress, as well as thickness and temperature on the same display. A viewer is available to review archived scans.
